The house is HUGE, with four finished levels, lots of space inside, and a big front porch. There are hardwood floors throughout. A big family-sized washer and dryer are on the back porch off the kitchen. The house has central AC and heat as well as backup radiator heat. Utilities are split between the housemates and were, on average, $100 a month in 2022 for everything (water, electric, gas, Internet, Hulu Live, and monthly house cleaning service). The other housemates are currently three guys and one girl in their 20s. The common areas include a big kitchen with tons of cabinet space, a furnished living room to hang out in, and a big front yard with a furnished porch.

The house is on 14th Street between Allison and Buchanan. It’s one block from the Upshur Rec Center and Pool, which is free for you to use. There are multiple 14th and 16th St bus lines to bring you downtown, and the Georgia Ave/Petworth metro stop is a 15-minute walk. The house has a walk score of 91 since you are within walking distance of all the supermarkets, restaurants, bars, shops, etc., of Columbia Heights and Petworth.

There is free off-street parking for four vehicles in the back of the house if you can coordinate with the other housemates with cars. Also, several blocks of ample un-zoned street parking have no restrictions across the street from the house.
