Frequently asked questions

How much is the security deposit?

One month's rent, and it's fully refundable. There are no other move-in fees besides the $48 tenant screening.

What does the $175/month utilities fee cover?

Gas, water, electric, Fios internet and WiFi, monthly professional house cleaning, free laundry, furnished common areas, and kitchen essentials — one flat fee, no splitting bills with housemates.

Is there an application fee?

Just the $48 tenant screening, which covers the background and credit check. That's the only application fee — nothing else.

Which rooms are month-to-month?

The Lincoln Room ($797/mo) and the Washington Room ($997/mo) in Columbia Heights rent month-to-month with a 3-month minimum stay. The Petworth rooms (Delta, Foxtrot) and the Joey Room are on longer master leases with renewal options.

Are the rooms furnished?

Yes — every room comes with a bed and basic bedroom furniture, and the common areas are fully furnished with kitchen essentials included.

Can I have a pet?

The Lincoln Room may consider small pets on a case-by-case basis. All other rooms are no-pets.
