The Green Line corridor through Petworth and Columbia Heights offers some of DC's best rent-per-Metro-stop value: full train access at room prices ($797–$997) that would be $300+/month higher near the Red Line in Dupont or the Orange Line in Rosslyn. If your commute touches downtown, the Green Line does the job for less.
