Travel nursing contracts typically run 13 weeks — and DC's hospitals (MedStar Washington Hospital Center, Howard University Hospital, Children's National, Georgetown) draw a steady stream of them. The housing math for a 13-week contract is specific, so let's do it properly.
Why 13 weeks lines up
Our month-to-month rooms require a 3-month minimum stay — which maps almost exactly onto a standard 13-week contract. No awkward sublet negotiations, no paying for months you won't be here.
Hospital proximity
- MedStar Washington Hospital Center — in the Petworth/Brightwood area, a short drive or bus ride from our Marlboro Place house (Delta $847 / Foxtrot $797).
- Howard University Hospital & Children's National — near our Columbia Heights house (Lincoln $797 / Washington $997), close to Georgia Ave–Petworth Metro.
What matters on nights (and post-nights)
- Quiet bedrooms: the Joey Room sits at the back of its house away from street noise; the Washington Room is a top-floor suite. Ask us about current house noise levels — we'll be straight with you.
- Furnished: bed, bedroom furniture, furnished commons, kitchen essentials. Your housing stipend goes to rent, not furniture.
- Laundry in-house: scrubs don't wash themselves; every house has a washer and dryer, included in utilities.
- Parking: the Joey Room includes free off-street parking; street parking is typically available near our other houses.
- One predictable number: rent + flat $175 utilities. Stipend math stays simple.
Move-in is first month + $175 + one month's refundable deposit + $48 screening. Share your contract dates and we'll tell you honestly whether the timing works.
