In DC, "near Metro" is the single most important location feature a room can have. It determines your commute, your social life, and whether you need a car at all. Every one of our rooms is genuinely Metro-accessible — here's the specifics, not the marketing version.
Walk times from our houses
- Marlboro Place house (Petworth — Delta & Foxtrot): quick walk to Georgia Ave–Petworth station (Green/Yellow lines), plus major bus lines on Georgia Ave.
- New Hampshire Ave house (Columbia Heights — Lincoln & Washington): 2 blocks to Georgia Ave–Petworth station; under 10 minutes' walk to Columbia Heights station (Green/Yellow).
- 14th St house (Joey): multiple 14th and 16th Street bus lines run straight downtown; the Green/Yellow lines are a short bus ride or bike trip away.
What Metro access buys you
- Commutes: downtown (Metro Center, Gallery Place) is ~20–30 minutes from our stations; Capitol Hill is one transfer.
- Car-free living: with Metro + buses + walkable corridors (14th St, Georgia Ave, 11th St), many of our renters skip car ownership entirely — that's $200–$400/month saved on payments, insurance, and parking.
- Nightlife without driving: U Street, Adams Morgan, Shaw, and H Street are all short Metro or bus rides from our houses.
Which line matters?
Our stations serve the Green and Yellow lines — the Yellow Line adds direct access to National Airport (DCA), the Pentagon, and Arlington. See our Green Line and Yellow Line guides for corridor details.
